TTV (Taekwondo.TV) ("TTV", "we", "our", or "us") provides athlete profiles generated using publicly available competition data and/or data provided by official event organizers and scoring systems.
This Athlete Profile Claim Policy explains how athletes or authorized representatives may claim, manage, or request updates to an athlete profile displayed on the Platform.
TTV is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to World Taekwondo (WT), European Taekwondo Union (ETU), or any national federation.
1. Purpose of Athlete Profiles
Athlete profiles on TTV are designed to:
- Present official competition results
- Display rankings and participation history
- Provide historical and archival sports records
- Improve visibility of athletes within the taekwondo community
Profiles are generated using structured and transformed representations of publicly available competition data sourced from official organizers, scoring systems, data partners, and publicly available materials.
2. Who May Claim a Profile
A profile may be claimed by:
- The athlete named on the profile
- A legal guardian (if applicable)
- An authorized representative with verifiable authority
We may require identity verification before approving any claim.
We reserve the right to refuse claims that cannot be adequately verified.
3. Verification Requirements
To claim a profile, the applicant may be required to provide:
- Full legal name
- Date of birth (for verification purposes only)
- Government-issued identification (if necessary)
- Proof of participation or affiliation
- Official email associated with a recognized club or organization
All submitted verification documents are used solely for authentication purposes.
We reserve the right to request additional documentation if necessary.
4. What Claiming a Profile Allows
Once verified, a claimed athlete profile may allow the athlete to:
- Confirm identity
- Submit correction requests
- Update certain non-historical profile information
- Add a biography or social media links (if feature is enabled)
- Upload a profile photo (subject to moderation)
Certain profile features and editing capabilities may be subject to subscription plans or feature availability.
Official competition results and historical data generally cannot be altered unless proven inaccurate.
Claiming a profile does not grant editorial control over how data is structured, displayed, or prioritized on the Platform.
TTV does not guarantee visibility, ranking prominence, or exposure of any profile.
5. Competition Results & Historical Records
Competition results displayed on TTV are part of official sporting records.
Claiming a profile does not grant the right to:
- Delete accurate historical results
- Alter official match outcomes
- Remove participation history
Corrections may be made where:
- Official data was entered incorrectly
- A verified error is demonstrated
- An official source confirms a discrepancy
6. Profile Updates & Moderation
TTV reserves the right to:
- Review and moderate profile edits
- Reject inappropriate or misleading content
- Remove content that violates Platform policies
Profile content must not:
- Be defamatory
- Impersonate another individual
- Contain false achievements
- Violate intellectual property rights
7. Data Accuracy & Responsibility
Athletes are responsible for ensuring submitted updates are accurate and truthful.
TTV does not guarantee that third-party competition data is error-free but will review verified correction requests in good faith.
8. Removal Requests
If an athlete believes certain content:
- Violates privacy rights
- Is unlawfully displayed
- Creates a legal compliance issue
They may submit a request under the Content Removal Request Policy.
Public competition results may not be eligible for removal if they form part of the official sporting record.
9. Revocation of Claim Status
TTV reserves the right to:
- Revoke claimed status
- Suspend editing privileges
- Terminate associated accounts
At its discretion, with or without prior notice, where necessary to maintain platform integrity.
Providing false information or attempting to claim a profile without proper authorization may result in permanent suspension and potential legal action.
10. Identity Protection
Verification documents submitted during the claim process:
- Are used solely for identity verification
- Are not displayed publicly
- Are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy
We take reasonable measures to protect submitted personal data.
11. No Transfer of Ownership
Claiming a profile does not transfer ownership of:
- Competition data
- Rankings
- Historical match records
- Event-related information
TTV maintains editorial control over the structure, presentation, URLs, and identifiers of athlete profiles.
12. Policy Updates
We may update this Athlete Profile Claim Policy from time to time.
The "Last Updated" date reflects the most recent revision.
Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updates.
