World Taekwondo (WT) has officially confirmed that the 2026 World Junior Taekwondo Championships will take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan according to the original schedule. The federation also reaffirmed that the WT Executive Council meeting and the General Assembly will proceed in the Uzbek capital as planned.

The announcement removes any uncertainty that had emerged in recent days regarding the future of the event and related institutional meetings.

Tournament and Leadership Meetings to Continue as Planned

In its latest communication, World Taekwondo emphasized that the Junior World Championships will move forward without any changes. After reviewing the current situation, the organization determined that the event remains fully viable from both a security and logistical standpoint.
